SAST: The Sarasin Investment Foundation

Founded in 1991 by Bank Sarasin & Co. Ltd, the SAST investment foundation mainly serves small and mid-sized pension funds, vested benefits foundations, Pillar 3a foundations and other company pension schemes.

BSV and KGAST

SAST is regulated by the Federal Office for Social Security (BSV). It is also a member of the Conference of Managers of Investment Foundations (KGAST), whose members pledge to meet certain minimum criteria, so as to minimize any risks that extend beyond those associated with investment markets. As a result, the interests of pension fund members are especially well protected.

Range of products for a promising future

We offer the opportunity of extremely promising growth rates with six mixed funds of BVG comply with the Swiss rules on occupational pensions (BVG):

In addition, Sarasin's full range of products includes another two equity and three bond subfunds and five sustainability subfunds and new a sustainability real estate subfund. With a total of seventeen funds in its SAST family, Sarasin provides the ideal combination of investment instruments to suit all risk profiles.

Where appropriate, Sarasin Investment Foundation subfunds will be invested in Bank Sarasin’s institutional funds rather than in direct investments, so as to take advantage of these funds’  exemption from stamp duty and to improve administrative efficiency.

Asset allocation is based on the Sarasin’s Sustainable Investment guidelines, taking into account the statutory investment rules imposed by the Federal Law on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans (BVG). Stock selection is based not just on financial analysis, but also on environmental and social criteria.
