Risk/performance

The following fundamental principle applies: the higher the risk (fluctuations in rates) the longer the investment duration should be and the higher the potential profits. The value of the capital invested and the income from it (e.g. payments in connection with investment funds) are subject to fluctuations and they may cease altogether. Investments in foreign currencies are subject to direct and indirect exchange-rate fluctuations. As a matter of principle, individual financial products are subject to higher risks (e.g. investment funds which invest predominantly in emerging markets and/or in shares of low-capitalised companies and/or in high-coupon bonds). Positive past performance is therefore no guarantee of a positive performance in the future. Bank Sarasin can therefore provide no guarantee of preservation of value (or an increase in value) of the capital invested and investors must be prepared and be in a position to accept substantial losses or even total losses.

Exclusion of liability

Bank Sarasin and their contracting parties refuse, where legally permissible, to accept any liability (including negligence and liability in respect of third parties) for any losses from direct, indirect or consequential losses of any type associated with the use of this website and contents included therein or with the risks of financial markets.
